The Religious Affairs Committee is primarily concerned with the character of religious life within the Synagogue. The members of the committee engage in the study of Judaic teachings and contemplate their relationship to current religious practices.
The committee functions in close partnership with the clergy, offering lay support for religious activities. Committee members are a sounding board, providing feedback regarding current religious observance. They make recommendations for changes in policy and bring a sense of religious mandate to these decisions.
The committee has a diverse membership that is reflective of the total congregation and together, the members of the committee reflect the historical context of the Synagogue.
