The Holocaust Media Project
The Holocaust Media Project was created by 8th and 9th grade students in the Hebrew High School program at Temple Sinai of Roslyn, NY. The goal of the project was to interview Holocaust survivors and record their accounts. We researched general Holocaust information, as well as background information specific to each of our interviewees. The class was visited by a Holocaust expert who helped us formulate the best possible questions for the survivors. Additionally, a professional in the field of journalism taught us how to conduct a proper interview. After the interviews, we used the synagogue's new SmartBoard to learn how to edit the recordings.
Because we will be the last generation to hear from these survivors in person, we hope that these podcasts will serve as a time capsule for future generations to ensure that these amazing individuals will always be remembered.
