Caring Committee

The purpose of the Caring Committee is to create a community within the Synagogue in which congregants reach out to those who are experiencing loss, grief and life cycle crises as well as in special times of celebration. Through the efforts of the Committee, interlocking support networks are created for the members of Temple Sinai.
The members of the committee work closely with the clergy and interact with a range of other Temple committees. Efforts are directed to providing assistance during and after Shiva, visiting the sick, supporting outreach and other special needs. The committee arranges for holiday invitations for those who are not near loved ones and offers special assistance during emergencies.
The membership of the committee is drawn from every aspect of Synagogue life and is reflective of the congregation.
